When Peter Pan collars showed up on the Louis Vuitton last year’s runway, they were big news and are still going strong as a street style staple.
To be honest, I hadn’t really given them much thought until I saw the way this Saint Laurent dress had been styled in this September’s issue of Marie Claire. Zooey Deschanel could not look less little girl and something about the shot reminds me of a young Catherine Deneuve.
I love the whole look, but the $4,650 price tag–not so much. Thankfully there are plenty of alternatives.

I love Peter Pan collars and I wear them often. I have a few shirts that I layer with cardis and sweaters. Happy Tuesday, darling.
I am prepping a little Saint Laurent inspired outfit idea, too (great minds? 😉 ) I love the first photo and colours of the outfit Zooey is wearing, but they airbrushed her so so so much she is almost unrecognisable… As for the collars – I adore them. Haven’t worn any in the recent years, though. I guess it had more to do with the fact that it was yet another trend and too many people were spotting them. 🙂
There’s something so charming about a Peter Pan collar. And such a perfect look on Zooey! 😉
Love this trend!
Gorgeous picks, darling!

I just purchased a blouse with Peter Pan collars and I’m loving it especially during the Fall season.
Have never figured out how this detail would fit my style. Something about Zooey’s look does remind me of Catherine Deneuve.
I LOVE Peter Pan collars. Loved them since i was a little girl. I have to admit,i don’t think i have anything in my closet with them now.
I need to o shopping 🙂
I love the updated take on a familiar look. Ooh and of course I have to like the splurge dress – how whimsical, but chic!

i’ve always adored those type of collars. we had to wear them with our uniforms in high school. so i haven’t been in one in AGES! LOL they’re more petite now. not as bulky. i am LOVING that first picture!

We also sold a lot of tops with Peter Pan collars this year.
So Yay!
I’ve always liked peter pan collars, and then went through a phase of not wearing them, but I love them so much now!
I’m a fan of Peter Pan collars. They have a lovely feminine feel. I would so wear that entire second outfit.

I’ve never had anything with a Peter Pan collar, but it looks nice. That would be interesting to see myself wearing this chequered Louis Vuitton. 🙂 Kind of old fashioned English elegance. I recall some looks of Kate Middleton… her Royal Highness’s choice, too! 🙂
