This is the time of year when there’s some reflective looking back as New Year’s Eve approaches. I definitely experienced a wave of that earlier this month as it’s the two year anniversary of losing one of my dearest friends. But every year I also feel this kind of giddy anticipation, something takes hold of me and I want to buy sparkly dresses, jet off someplace far away and live in the champagne party now.
We could talk about Spring 14’s subdued palette of black and white and neutrals, but I’m feeling more excited about new things like Natalie Alaverdian’s celebration of roosters for her line A.W.A.K.E. I can’t help but admire a little strut, especially when the coming spring’s fashion music is so toned down.
And then there was Libertine, magically thinking out loud for me with their “amulets protecting from negativity”.
I’m ready for a little fashion fun, how about you?
P.S. Make sure to swing by Magical Mined {our new decor blog} for a little Chair Shame.

These are very stylish dresses. Makes me want to buy one for this Holiday Festive season.
That last dress is pure perfection.
We are all tired at the end of the year and if you have a sad anniversary coming up, then you probably need some quality rest.

This time of year is always both sad and happy for me. Yes, it’s that reflective mood, pondering the bad and good that has happened over the last year, remembering your loved ones who are no longer with you, but also feeling enthusiastic about the merry part of the holidays and getting together with your family.
PS: I won’t say no to having a little fun with fashion. 🙂
