Every year we see burgundy in the fall. Usually I like it in small doses, but lately I’ve been seeing it paired in twos — a blazer with matching trousers, a sweater and jeans, a turtleneck and leather skirt.

I’ve also been seeing lots of Merlot/wine colors paired with black leather pants, moto jackets etc. I love this pairing too.

Not surprisingly, I couldn’t resist adding some Merlot stingray to our Stingray bag collection. I can see this going to some fancy parties, but also looking good with a black leather moto jacket and jeans.

At our trunk show last week at Laguna Supply, I tried on this V-neck cashmere sweater by Equipment (see below) and now I’m a believer. I think I’m going to need it to go with my favorite Laura Mercier Merlot lipstick and a pair of these Rag and Bone jeans would be nice too!

Last but not least, if Merlot smelled as good as this yummy Agraria Cedar Rose soap I would probably bathe in it. In honor of National Breast Cancer Month, Agraria is donating 35% of the proceeds from all Cedar Rose purchases on it’s website to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Are you having a Merlot moment too?

This is such a beautifully rich colour, i didn’t realized how great a full merlot suit could look.

You know i love all colours, but burgundy has always been one of my favourite colours. I just love it. Oddly enough, at the moment i have nothing burgundy in my closet. Time to go shopping, me thinks.

Have a lovely rest of the week.

Burgundy is my go to autumn color. Your new Merlot items are gorgeous

Natasha Gregson January 6, 2019 at 05:26

This is definetely one of my fave colours to wear-it looks so luxurious 🙂 I love the suit but I doubt I could pull it off. The coast is gorgeous too-I love the contrast of the leather sleeves. At least if you spill wine down you outfit it won’t show 😉 haha!

This is a beautiful pairing. I do love all those colors together. Thanks for finding that wonderful sweater for me. I do love when someone acts as “my” Image Consultant.

your Merlot stingray clutch is like a piece of jewellery, the only kind I’d wear to a fancy party. Burgundy is one of my favourite shades for autumn. It’s such a rich and sophisticated colour that you can keep the accessorising to the minimum, and I think that’s why I love it so much. The Equipment sweater is absolutely beautiful as well.

Merlot is so rich and lovely. It is a perfect fall shade for your stingray collection!
